FairyLoot December 2019

We are so excited to reveal the theme for December and it is… DEFYING THE ODDS!

This theme is all about characters that have to fight against overwhelming odds – whether it’s to save the world or to protect a loved one! You can expect items inspired by Throne of Glass, The Wrath & The Dawn, Red Rising, Priory of the Orange Tree, Skyward and Game of Thrones.

We’re also very thrilled to reveal that this box will contain TWO BOOKS!

Our featured book of the month is set in a world where magic is outlawed, and eight criminals are sent on a mission to kill an ancient evil. This edition will have an EXCLUSIVE COVERARTWORK ON THE REVERSE OF THE DUST JACKETEMBOSSING and will be SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR.

The second book is an ADVANCED READING COPY of an exciting March 2020 release that will have an EXCLUSIVE COVER and will come with a SIGNED BOOKPLATE.

I have to admit this was my least favourite box. Too many of the items were related to fandoms I have no interest in sadly! The Throne of Glass pin was my favourite thing though! I was hoping the arc was something in my tbr for next year but I’ll still give it a try!

Fairyloot “The Queen of Nothing” Box

I am so excited for this box! Here’s the description from their website:

The box will feature an EXCLUSIVE EDITION of The Queen of Nothing by Holly Black with 5-6 incredible items, which you can expect to ship in November (publication month). The edition of The Queen of Nothing will be completely different to the previous editions in the series, but don’t worry – if you purchase this box you will get access to matching editions of The Cruel Prince and The Wicked King, which will ship in January.

The edition we’re featuring of The Queen of Nothing will have a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT COVER than the standard edition. It won’t have a dust jacket and the design will be printed onto the hardcover of the book with foil details (similar to the the exclusive editions of The Dark Artifices by Waterstones). It will also have STENCIL SPRAYED EDGES, a RIBBON BOOKMARK and will be SIGNED by Holly!

I’m so happy that I managed to order it! I subscribed to Fairyloot just so I could get this box a day early! I was worried it would sell out so I’m glad that I did.

The box took a little longer to arrive compared with the November box but I’m happy to say that I wasn’t spoiled before I got it!

I loved everything that came in the box.

The first thing that I took out of the box was a huge blanket with art of Jude and Carden. I love the anime vibe of the art and it’s so soft!

There was a book sleeve with beautiful art and I love it! I’m already using it to bring The Wicked King into work so I can read during my break.

I was so excited when I saw that there was a mug too! The art is so lovely and I love the style of the mug too!

The pin included was a nice surprise too and I’m so happy to have another bookish pin.

There was a stunning art print and book mark! I’m hoping to find a frame for the print!

And finally the book! It’s not what I was expecting but I do really love the cover! It came with a signed book plate which I stuck in the book asap. I’m excited to get the matching Cruel Prince and Wicked King books!
